Introduction

shouldi is an instant social advice service that allows Users to quickly and easily ask for and receive advice from friends, experts or other Users in a specific town or geography by using a mobile phone, a web browser, instant messaging, or e-mail. The Services offered by shouldi LLC ("shouldi" or we) include the shouldi website and the shouldi mobile messaging, instant messaging and e-mail services and any other features, content, or applications offered from time to time by shouldi in connection with the shouldi instant social advice service.

We care about your privacy, and we value the trust you place in us. shouldi provides this Privacy Policy to inform Users of our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personally information received from Users of the shouldi Services.

Children Under Age 13

Shouldi does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register. If you are under 13, please do not attempt to register for shouldi or send any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address. No one under age 13 may provide any personal information to or on shouldi Services. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at info@shouldi.com.

Children Between the Ages of 13 and 18

We recommend that minors over the age of 13 ask their parents for permission before sending any information about themselves to anyone over the Internet

Information We Collect

When you visit shouldi you provide us with two types of information: personal information you knowingly choose to disclose that is collected by us and web site use information collected by us as you interact with our web site.

When you register with us, we collect the personal information you submit to us. This information may include your name, mailing addresses, email address, instant messaging address, mobile phone number, age, and gender. shouldi also collects other personal information including but not limited to personal interests and expertise, schools attended, education, occupation as well as your favorite possessions and entertainment or dining venues in order to assist Users finding and sharing advice, ideas, and experiences with each other. You can alter or update the personal information you submit to us by logging into your account and changing your account information. If you update information, we may keep a copy of the prior version for our records.

When you use shouldi, you may form relationships, send messages, perform searches and queries, form groups, post advice requests or offer advice responses, and transmit information through mobile phone messaging, instant messaging or e-mail. We collect this information so that we can provide you the service and offer personalized features. In most cases, we retain it so that, for instance, you can return to view prior advice requests or responses you have sent or easily see your friend list. When you update information, we usually keep a backup copy of the prior version for a reasonable period of time to enable reversion to the prior version of that information.

If you choose to use our invitation service to tell a friend about our site, we will ask you for information needed to send the invitation, such as your friend's email address. We will automatically send your friend a one-time email or instant message inviting him or her to visit the shouldi web site. shouldi stores this information to send this one-time invitation, to register a friend connection if your invitation is accepted, and to track the success of our referral program. Your friend may contact us at info@shouldi.com to request that we remove this information from our database.

You post User Content (as defined in the shouldi Terms of Use) through shouldi Services at your own risk. Although we allow you to set privacy options that limit access to your pages, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. We cannot control the actions of other Users with whom you may choose to share your pages and information. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that User Content you post on the Site will not be viewed by unauthorized persons. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Site. You understand and acknowledge that, even after removal, copies of User Content may remain viewable in cached and archived pages or if other Users have copied or stored your User Content.

In addition, we store certain information from your browser using "cookies." A cookie is a piece of data stored on the User's computer tied to information about the User. We use session ID cookies to confirm that Users are logged in. These cookies terminate once the User closes the browser. By default, we use a persistent cookie that stores your login ID (but not your password) to make it easier for you to login when you come back to the shouldi web site. You can remove or block this cookie using the settings in your browser if you want to disable this convenience feature.

shouldi also logs non-personally-identifiable information including IP address, profile information, aggregate User data, and browser type, from Users and visitors to the site This data is used to manage the website, track usage and improve the website services. This non-personally-identifiable information may be shared with third-parties to provide more relevant services and advertisements to Users.

By using shouldi Services, you are consenting to have your personal data transferred to and processed in the United States.

Any improper collection or misuse of information provided on shouldi Services is a violation of the shouldi Terms of Use and should be reported to privacy@shouldi.com.

Use of cookies

We store certain information from your browser using "cookies." A cookie is a piece of data stored on the User's computer tied to information about the User. We use session ID cookies to confirm that Users are logged in. These cookies terminate once the User closes the browser. We do not link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while using our services. Use and Disclosure of information

We will display your personal information on your Public page according to the preferences you set. We will use your name so that you are recognizable on our database and so that we can personalize your experience. We will use your email address to contact you from time to time and may also use it for security reasons to confirm that you are who you say you are. We will use your mobile phone, instant message address, and email address to forward advice requests from your friends or other shouldi Users. You can control the types and frequencies of certain emails, instant messages, and mobile phone messages you receive in your preferences.

Advertisements that appear on shouldi are delivered to you by our advertising partners. shouldi may transfer information about your use of shouldi services, such as your IP address and information stored via cookies, to our advertising partners. This information may be used to provide advertising, promotions and other products and services that may be of particular interest to you. It may also be used to provide you with a tailored choice of content and media products. If you do not want to receive targeted advertisements at any point in the future, please change your advertisement preferences in your account or send a request to us via the Contact Us page.

Our advertising and promotions partners have no access to your name or personal contact information stored by shouldi. shouldi does not provide your name or personal contact information to an advertising partner when you interact with or view a targeted advertisement.

We will disclose your personally identifiable information if we reasonably believe we are required to do so by law, regulation or other government authority or to protect the rights and property of shouldi or the public. We may also co-operate with law enforcement agencies in any official investigation and we may disclose your personally identifiable information to the relevant agency or authority in doing so.

We reserve the right to transfer your personal information in the event of a transfer of ownership of shouldi, such as acquisition by or merger with another company. If an acquiring company should plan to materially change this privacy policy, we will notify you beforehand.

Public shouldi advice requests and advice responses

Please be aware that whenever you voluntarily post public information to public shouldi advice requests or provide public advice responses that that information can be accessed by the public and can in turn be used by those people and Internet search engines.

Links to Other Sites

shouldi contains links to sites. shouldi is not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices on other sites. When linking to another site a User should read the privacy policy stated on that site. Our privacy policy only governs information collected on shouldi.

Correcting/Updating or Removing Information

shouldi Users may modify or remove any of their personal information at any time by logging into their account and accessing features such as Edit Profile and Account Info.

Email Choice/Opt-out

Users who no longer wish to receive updates or notifications may choose not to by selecting 'Do not send me notification communications' in the User profile 'Account Settings'. Users who do not wish to receive shouldi newsletters may choose not to by selecting 'Do not send me shouldi newsletters' in the User profile 'Account Settings'. All notification emails and shouldi newsletters also include the above instructions for opting-out of those communications in the future.

Security

shouldi User accounts are secured by User-created passwords. For greater security, shouldi never stores the plain text version of your password. If you forget your password we cannot tell you what it is. You'll have to go through a process to create a new one. shouldi takes precautions to insure that User account information is kept private. We use reasonable measures to protect User information that is stored within our database, and we restrict access to User information to those employees who need access to perform their job functions, such as our customer service personnel and technical staff. Please note that we cannot guarantee the security of User account information. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors may compromise the security of User information at any time For any additional information about the security measures we use with shouldi Services, please contact us at privacy@shouldi.com .

Changes in Our Privacy Policy

We will occasionally update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our services and customer feedback. When we post changes to this Privacy Policy, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this document. If there are material changes to this policy or in how shouldi will use your personal information, we will notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes prior to implementing the change or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to periodically review this policy to be informed of how shouldi is protecting your information.
